Hammer is our herd stallion. He stands 15.1 hands tall, weighs about 1200 pounds and has a great conformation.
We purchased him as a 6 month old colt and enjoyed his friendly, gentle disposition and easy going temperment so much that we decided to use him as a stud. He has often amazed us with his athletic abilities. At 6 months of age he was able to jump 6 foot high panels without a running start and often we would put him out to pasture only to come home and find him back in his pen! It took us a while to figure out how he was getting thru three fences without a mark on him. Hammer has always enjoyed being around people and breaking him out was one of the easiest things that I have done. The first time he was saddled he fell asleep! To this day he has never offered to buck. I have used him to push cattle here in Montana and for some pretty rough trail rides in Colorado. He is always willing to go where I ask him to. Hammer is passing his wonderful disposition and conformation on to his foals. They have all been intelligent and seem to have plenty of get up and go. We have had horses for over 26 years and Hammer is one of our favorites.
